Rockets Top Raiders 5-3
The Kelowna Rockets showed why they are the top team in the WHL on Sunday night, handing the Raiders a 5-3 loss at the Art Hauser Centre.
Dakota Conroy got the Raiders off to a strong start under a minute into the game, and Chance Braid followed up to give the home side a 2-0 lead midway through the first period.
Kelowna responded to tie it up midway through the second.
Gage Quinney added his fifth of the season late in the second to give the Raiders the lead heading into the final frame, but Kelowna rattled off three straight, including an empty netter late in the match to seal the deal.
Both Tim Vanstone and Shane Danyluk were both awarded penalty shots in the game, but were shut down by Rockets netminder Jordon Cooke.
