Raiders visit Blades in final pre-season game
The Prince Albert Raiders travel to Warman tonight to take on the Saskatoon Blades in their final pre-season game. The Raiders come into the contest after beating the Regina Pats 4-3 on Friday night.
Prince Albert is 3-0-0-0 this pre-season, with a pair of wins against the Blades mixed in with last night’s victory over Regina. Ryder Ritchie and Justice Christensen each scored twice in last night’s win, with Ritchie scoring the game winning goal with 37 seconds left in regulation, after the Pats clawed their way back from down 3-1 to tie the game. Christensen finished with a three point night and first star honours, adding an assists to go along with his two goals.
In their first two games of the pre-season, the Raiders defeated the Blades 2-1 in Big River First Nation, and 4-3 on home ice at the Art Hauser Centre.
Saskatoon has one win this pre-season. After dropping their first two games to the Raiders, the Bridge City Bunch picked up a 6-2 win in Regina on Wednesday night.
After tonight’s game, the Raiders will get ready for their home opener on Friday night when they take on the Moose Jaw Warriors.
