Raiders Storm Hurricanes in 3-1 Victory

The Raiders threw everything they had at the Hurricanes goaltender Corbin Boes, eventually claiming a 3-1 victory Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Hurricanes jumped out to an early lead, converting on an odd-man opportunity just 3 minutes into play, but new Raider Calder Brooks responded to tie the game by the end of the opening period.

After a number of grade-A chances for the Raiders, Mackenze Stewart sent a seeing eye shot from the point to give the home side the lead.

The Raiders hung on until Carson Perreaux battled his way to an empty net goal late in the game to seal the win.

Raider netminder Cole Cheveldave had a solid game in his own right, stopping 37 of 38 shots faced in a second star performance.
