Raiders Fall to Broncos in Extra Time
The Prince Albert Raiders were able to hang onto their East Division lead, albeit having it cut in half, in a 4-3 overtime defeat at the hands of the Swift Current Broncos.
The Broncos hoped on the home team early, taking a 2-0 lead 13 minutes into the game.
In the middle stanza, Dylan Busenius got the Raiders on the board, but Swift Current regained the 2-goal lead with a power play marker.
Reid Gardiner cut the lead to a single goal with a late period marker and Josh Morrissey sent the game into extra time with a third period snipe.
In overtime, Swift Current was able to take advantage of an inopportune turnover by the Raiders, and take the win with a 3-on-1 break.
