Raiders Blow Away Hurricanes 8-2
The Raiders blew away the Lethbridge Hurricanes by a final score of 8-2 on Farm World Prostate Cancer Awareness night, outshooting the ‘Canes 53-22.
The Hurricanes got on the board first, but the Raiders, who were wearing special Farm World Prostate Cancer jerseys during the game, responded quickly with Josh Morrissey scoring his first of two on the night.
Dakota Conroy added a pair of goals to add to the lead before the first intermission.
In the second, the Raiders got goals from Leon Draisaitl, Dakota Conroy, Josh Morrissey and two from Reid Gardiner to make it 8-1 after 40 minutes.
Lethbridge was able to score a second goal in the third period, but goaltender Nick McBride shut the door, stopping 20 of 22 shots faced in the win.
After the game, the Raiders auctioned off their specialty jerseys, with the proceeds going to their Movember campaign against mens’s cancers.
