Three Raiders prospects named to WHL Cup rosters

Three Prince Albert Raiders prospects have been named to provincial rosters for the 2025 WHL Cup in Red Deer. The tournament runs from October 22-26 at the Marchant Crane Centrium, home of the Red Deer Rebels.

Athens Shingoose – Manitoba

Shingoose was the 16th overall pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft. A product of Waywayseecappo, Shingoose is spending the 2025-26 season with RHA Winnipeg U18 Prep. In two games so far this season, he has three goals and two assists, with one of his goal coming on the powerplay.

Brady Filmon – Manitoba

Filmon was a third round pick by the Raiders in the 2025 draft, selected 62nd overall. He was teammates with Shingoose last year with the RHA Winnipeg U15 Prep team. This year, Filmon is playing with the RHA Winnipeg U17 Prep club. He has a pair of assists in two games this season.

Tripp Fischer – Alberta

Also a third round pick in 2025, Fischer was selected by the Raiders with the 52nd pick. He’s currently playing for the Lloydminster Lancers AEHL U18AAA team. While he hasn’t played a game yet this season, the forward is coming off of a successful 29 goal, 27 assist season in 2024-25 with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep squad.
