Rudolph named finalist for WHL Defenceman of the Year
In just his second WHL season, Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Daxon Rudolph has been named a finalist for the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy for WHL Defenceman of the Year.
Rudolph led the Raiders in scoring in the 2025-26 regular season, scoring 28 goals and adding 50 assists for 78 points. His 28 goals tied Josh Morrissey for the most goals by a Raiders defenceman in a single season in franchise history. He scored 13 powerplay goals this season, setting a new record by a Raiders defenceman in a single campaign. Overall, 35 of Rudolph’s 78 points came on the powerplay.
In February, Rudolph played in the WHL Prospects Game, alongside teammates Jonah Sivertson and Michal Orsulak. Rudolph scored the game winning goal in overtime to give Team East the win over Team West.
