Raiders sign Bass to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the signing of 2008-born goaltender Steele Bass to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Selected in the third round, 49th overall in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, Bass was the fifth goalie taken by a WHL club, in a draft that saw 16 goalies selected overall.
This season, Bass is a rookie on the Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna U18 team in the CSSHL. In seven starts this season, the High River, AB product has a 5-1-1 record to go along with a 3.21 GAA and a .900 SV%.
Bass becomes the sixth player to be signed by the Raiders out of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, joining first overall pick Daxon Rudolph, second overall pick Riley Boychuk, seventh overall pick Ty Meunier, second round pick Benett Kelly, and fourth round pick Jonah Sivertson.
