Raiders host Pats in final home pre-season game
The Prince Albert Raiders (2-0-0-0) get set to host the Regina Pats (0-2-1-0) tonight at the Art Hauser Centre.
Prince Albert collected a pair of wins last week over the Saskatoon Blades. It started with a 2-1 victory on September 6 in Big River First Nation. Last Saturday, they followed that up with a 4-3 win at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Pats, meanwhile, have been trending in the opposite direction this pre-season. Regina opened up their schedule with a 1-0 loss on home ice to the Brandon Wheat Kings on September 8, followed by a 2-1 overtime defeat to the same Wheat Kings on the 9th in Brandon. On Wednesday night, Regina suffered a 6-2 home ice defeat to the visiting Saskatoon Blades.
Harrison Lodewyk has led the way so far in terms of scoring for the Raiders. The 2005-born forward has three points in two games, including a two point performance in PA’s last win over Saskatoon. His two pre-season goals are tied with Niall Crocker for the team lead after two contests. Crocker scored a pair of goals last Saturday against the Blades.
The Raiders wrap up the pre-season on Saturday night in Warman to take on the Blades once again. Puck drop for the game is slated for 7pm.
Prince Albert opens up the 2023-24 regular season on Friday, September 22 with their home opener against the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7pm. You can find tickets for that game here.
