Raiders Acquire Stallard From Hitmen
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders and the Calgary Hitmen completed a trade on Tuesday morning.
The Raiders acquired 1997-born centreman Jordy Stallard and a seventh-round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft in exchange for 1998-born forward Luke Coleman and a fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft, which originally belonged to Edmonton.
Stallard, a Brandon, MB product, was in his third season with the Hitmen and in the WHL. He was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the fifth round — 127th overall — of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Through 32 games this season, Stallard has eight goals and 19 assists to go along with 17 penalty minutes. Listed at 6’1” and 185 lbs, he has 35 goals and 67 assists in 158 career games.
Coleman, from Red Deer, AB, was a fifth-round pick of the Raiders in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. In 123 career games with the Raiders, Coleman had 21 goals and 21 assists with 66 penalty minutes.
