Penticton Vees select Liam Bursaw from Raiders in 2025 Expansion Draft
On Wednesday, the Penticton Vees selected one player to take from every WHL team in the 2025 WHL Expansion Draft (or make a trade with teams). The Vees chose to select Liam Bursaw from the Prince Albert Raiders.
Bursaw, a product out of Warman, SK, was a fifth round pick, 98th overall by the Raiders in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. The 2007-born forward played for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the BCHL in 2024-25. In 50 games, he scored 11 goals and helped out with two assists for 13 points.
Prior to that, Bursaw played two seasons for the Warman Wildcats in the SMAAAHL, where he had 78 points (37-41) in 87 regular season games.
