Macias to represent Poland at IIHF World Hockey Championship in Czechia
It was announced today that Prince Albert Raiders import winger Krzysztof Macias will suit up for his home country Poland at the 2024 IIHF World Hockey Championship in Prague and Ostrava, Czechia. Poland kicks off their tournament this Saturday against Latvia.
Macias was a 15th overall pick in the 2023 CHL Import Draft, and was a productive forward all season. He scored his first career WHL goal in his first career WHL game on September 22nd, 2023 against Moose Jaw. He also notched his first hat trick in his sixth WHL game on October 6th, 2023 in Red Deer. In 65 regular season games, Macias finished fourth in team scoring with 47 points (22G-25A).
