Justice Christensen named 49th captain in franchise history
The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce their leadership group for the 2024-25 season. Justice Christensen has been named the 49th captain in franchise history, while Niall Crocker and Aiden Oiring will wear A’s as alternate captains.
Entering his third season with the Raiders, Christensen gets the ‘C’ after being an alternate captain last year. In 132 career WHL games, the defenceman has 15 goals and 39 assists for 54 points. It was a breakout year for the Red Deer, AB product in 2023-24, where he scored 13 goals and registered 32 assists, on his way to leading Raiders defencemen in scoring with 45 points.
Crocker, entering his overage season, is about to start his fifth season with the Raiders. Each year has seen his numbers improve, with the 2023-24 season being his best statistical year so far. In 221 career games, Crocker has 43 goals and 55 assists for 98 points. Last season saw him rack up over half of those points, as he scored 23 goals and added 34 assists for 57 points. The Delta, BC product finished second in team scoring.
As for Oiring, he’s gearing up for his third WHL season, and second full season with the Raiders after being acquired from the Winnipeg ICE during the 2022-23 campaign. The Calgary, AB product has 81 points (33G-48A) in 131 career WHL games. Last season, Oiring finished third in team scoring, registering 50 points (21G-29A).
