Hildebrand named Eastern Conference Finalist for WHL Player of the Year
The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce that goaltender Max Hildebrand has been named a finalist for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as WHL Player of the Year.
The nomination adds to his long list of awards this season, as he was earlier named a WHL First Team All-Star, Eastern Conference Goalie of the Year Finalist, and Humanitarian of the Year Finalist.
Hildebrand set career highs in every single department this season. In 55 games played, the Martensville, SK product strung together a 33-16-5-0 record, putting up a 2.87 GAA and a .918 SV%. He played the most minutes in the league (3,181), faced the most shots (1,865), and made the most saves (1,713). His three shutouts were tied for fourth most in the WHL, and his 33 wins were second most.
The 20-year-old registered a 2.02 GAA and a .941 SV% in the first round of the 2025 WHL Playoffs, helping the Raiders knock off the Edmonton Oil Kings in seven games. He recorded his first career playoff shutout on Tuesday night in Game Seven, as the Raiders beat the Oil Kings 5-0 to advance to the second round.
The Raiders begin round two of the playoffs on Saturday night when they travel to Medicine Hat to take on the Tigers. Puck drops at 7pm.
