Herchak, Sedo, and Kostiuk named to Canada West roster for 2024 World Junior A Challenge
The Prince Albert Raiders have three representatives who will play in the 2024 World Junior A Challenge in Camrose, Alberta from December 9-15: Jaxon Herchak, Hudson Sedo, and Jackson Kostiuk.
Herchak, drafted in the fourth round, 76th overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft by the Raiders, is playing with the Kindersley Klippers in the SJHL. In 25 games this season, the defenceman has two goals and 17 assists to go along with 22 penalty minutes. His 17 assists are tied for the fourth most in the SJHL.
Sedo and Kostiuk are listed by the Raiders, and have been enjoying successful years with their Junior A clubs so far. Sedo, a goaltender for the Camrose Eagles in the AJHL, has a 7-3-0-0 record with a 2.20 GAA and a .925 SV%. His goals against average is third best in the AJHL, and his save percentage is tied for fourth best.
Kostiuk plays for the Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL, and has nine goals and 22 assists in 24 games. His 31 points are tied for seventh most in the MJHL. The Pistons currently sit in first place in league standings with a 20-4-1-0 record.
