Game Preview: September 14 @ Saskatoon
The Raiders (3-1-0-0) visit the Saskatoon Blades (0-3-0-1) for their final game of the preseason. The clubs will be battling it out in Warman, which has become a yearly tradition to wrap up exhibition play between the two clubs.
Last night Prince Albert came from behind to beat Saskatoon 5-4 in a shootout. It was a game the green and gold trailed 3-1 in the third period, as well as 4-3 late in the game, but Aiden Oiring tied things up with 33 seconds left in regulation to force things to overtime and an eventual shootout. Both Oiring and Riley Boychuk scored in the shootout for the Raiders to win the game. Prince Albert went a perfect 3-0-0-0 on home ice in the preseason, while Saskatoon picked up their first point in four games.
Tonight’s preseason finale will be the last time these two teams will meet until the second half of the season, December 30th to be exact.
After this, the Raiders will shift their attention to the 2024-25 regular season, with the home opener coming up this Friday, September 20th.
