RAIDERS WIN SEASON SERIES WITH 6-1-1-0 RECORD
ORSULAK STANDS TALL:
Raiders goaltender Michal Orsulak was named WHL Goalie of the Week after his performance on the weekend. The Czech import stopped 16 of 17 shots in game one’s win, before recording a 15 save shutout in Prince Albert’s game two win over the Blades. That’s good for a 0.50 GAA and a .969 SV% over those two starts. In seven playoff games so far, Orsulak owns a 1.57 GAA and a .911 SV%, as well as a 6-1-0-0 record.
HE’S THE MAN:
Matyas Man found the back of the net in game two on Saturday night. In the third period, his one timer from the blue line beat Evan Gardner on the glove side, giving the big Czech defenceman his first goal since January 20th against the Victoria Royals. It was also his first point of the playoffs, going along with a +3 night.
CORKISH HEATING UP AT THE RIGHT TIME:
After ending the regular season on a 24-game goalless drought, Raiders forward Owen Corkish is coming alive at the right time. He has three goals in the playoffs in seven games, including what stood as the GWG on Saturday night against Saskatoon.
