Game Preview: Round One, Game One vs Red Deer

The 2026 WHL Playoffs begin tonight as your Prince Albert Raiders host the Red Deer Rebels for game one of the first round. The Raiders (1) and the Rebels (8) split their season series at two games apiece.

SEVEN YEARS IN THE MAKING:
The Raiders and Rebels square off in the playoffs for the first time since 2019. Prince Albert swept Red Deer in that first round series, by scores of 3-0, 6-4, 4-2, and 4-1. The Raiders would go on to win the WHL Championship.
PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE
The Raiders have 11 players on the roster with previous playoff experience. Aiden Oiring and Justice Christensen have each played 16 playoff games. Oiring leads the team with 17 points in those games (8G-9A).
COMING IN HOT:
The Raiders enter the playoffs winners of six straight games, including a pair of 4-0 shutout wins over the Saskatoon Blades to finish the regular season.
