Game Preview: Round 2, Game 1 @ Medicine Hat
SETTING IT UP:
Game One of the second round of the WHL Playoffs is ready to go tonight in Medicine Hat, as the Raiders visit the Tigers. Prince Albert took down the Edmonton Oil Kings in seven games in their first round series, while Medicine Hat dusted off the Swift Current Broncos in five games to punch their ticket to the second round.
THE SEASON SERIES:
The Tigers got the better of the Raiders in the regular season, winning three of their four meetings. Prince Albert’s lone win came in overtime at Co-op Place, and have two regulation losses and an overtime loss as well. Rilen Kovacevic had seven points against the Tigers in the regular season, recording five points with Moose Jaw and two with Prince Albert. Gavin McKenna led Medicine Hat in scoring against Prince Albert with seven points.
WHO TO WATCH:
Max Hildebrand: coming off a Game Seven shutout. Has a 2.02 GAA and .941 SV% this postseason.
Lukas Dragicevic: had a goal and three assists in Game Seven. Has eight points in his last three games. Leads Raiders in playoff scoring with 12 points (5-7).
Aiden Oiring: second among Raiders in playoff scoring with 11 points (6-5). Has seven points in his last three games.
Daxon Rudolph: has been a playmaking machine in the postseason. His nine assists are the fifth most in the league.
