Game Preview: November 8 @ Tri-City
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (12-0-3-0) continue their U.S. Division road swing tonight as they visit the Tri-City Americans (7-7-1-0). The Raiders picked up a 5-2 win last night in Spokane over the Chiefs. Alisher Sarkenov was the only Raider to log a multi point game, as he scored a goal and had an assist. Meanwhile the Americans won by a 5-2 final as well last night, as they knocked off the Vancouver Giants. Savin Virk had two goals and two helpers, while Connor Dale had four assists.
THE FIRST POINT FOR MAN:
In his 13th WHL game, defenceman Matyas Man recorded his first WHL point with an assist on Linden Burrett’s goal in the second period last night. Now every Raider on the roster (with the exception of Ethan Bibeau who hasn’t played a game yet) has at least a point this season.
U17 CHECK IN:
It’s an all Canadian matchup today, as Canada Red and Canada White go head to head for U17 World Hockey Challenge gold. That means that either Brock Cripps and Ryan McDonald, or Ben Harvey will come home with a gold medal, while the other(s) will come away with silver.
A NEW STREAK BEGINS?
With an assist last night, Riley Boychuk quickly made up for his point streak coming to an end on Wednesday. He now starts fresh at a one game point streak, and now has two goals and 15 assists this season.
UPCOMING MILESTONES:
Justice Christensen-10 goals away from 50
Aiden Oiring: 18 points away from 200
