Game Preview: November 5 @ Lethbridge
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (10-0-3-0) begin their longest road trip of the season tonight as they visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes (4-12-0-1). The Raiders picked up three of a possible four points over the weekend, falling to the Calgary Hitmen 3-2 in overtime, and recovering with a 6-4 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Raiders enter tonight’s game ranked second in the WHL Eastern Conference with 22 points, trailing only the Edmonton Oil Kings (23 pts). The Raiders have five games in hand on Edmonton. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes rank last in the Conference, trailing the Regina Pats and Red Deer Rebels by three points.
HATTY HEISE:
Max Heise scored his first WHL hat trick on Saturday night, scoring the first, second, and sixth goal of the game for Prince Albert. As a result, the 19-year-old forward is playing above a point per game average, as the Calgary, AB product has 13 points (9-4) in 11 games. He ranks fourth in team scoring.
LIGHT ROSTER:
Ben Harvey, Brock Cripps, and head coach Ryan McDonald are off to the U17 World Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia. Both Canada Red and Canada White play their first games of the tournament on Sunday, November 2nd. Brock Cripps will play for Canada Red, and he’ll have McDonald on his bench as Red’s head coach. Harvey is getting ready to suit up for Canada White, who won the tournament last year. As a result, the Raiders have recalled forward Kyle Obobaifo. He played two games on the weekend, recording his first WHL point with an assist against the Warriors.
BOYCHUK’S STREAK:
Riley Boychuk assisted on Max Heise’s hat trick goal on Saturday night, extending his point streak to 13 games. It’s now the longest active streak in the WHL. The 17-year-old now has two goals and 14 assists this season.

Tomorrow will be a travel day to the United States, as the Raiders will head to Spokane to open up the U.S. Division part of the road trip.
