Game Preview: March 20 vs Saskatoon
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (50-10-5-1) kick off the final weekend of the regular season with a home game against the Saskatoon Blades (34-25-5-2). Prince Albert picked up an 8-4 win on Tuesday over Regina, as they reached the 50 win mark for the fifth time in franchise history. Saskatoon beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-2 on Wednesday night, picking up points in their fifth straight game. The Raiders enter tonight’s game first in the Eastern Conference, while the Blades are in sixth.
THE RACE FOR THE TOP SEED:
The Raiders just need one win to clinch the Eastern Conference and home ice through the first three rounds of the playoffs. They’re two points up on the Medicine Hat Tigers for top spot, and in the case the two teams tie for first in points, that one win would give Prince Albert the tiebreaker.

HARVEY NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
After an incredible weekend, Raiders forward Ben Harvey has been named Sandman WHL Rookie of the Week. The 16-year-old scored his first career hat trick on Friday against Moose Jaw, and added three assists in the contest. On Saturday night in Regina, he scored in the shootout as part of a 2-1 victory. In 42 games this season, Harvey has 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points, and a +19 rating.
RUDOLPH ONE AWAY FROM HISTORY:
With a goal in last Friday’s win over the Warriors, Raiders defenceman Daxon Rudolph is one goal away from setting the new franchise record for goals by a defenceman in a single season. Rudolph tied Josh Morrissey with his 28th goal of the season. The 17-year-old has two games left to try and set the new record.

The Raiders end the regular season in Saskatoon tomorrow night at SaskTel Centre. After that, games one and two of the 2026 WHL Playoffs will be on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop for both games will be at 7pm.
