Game Preview: March 13 vs Moose Jaw
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (47-10-5-1) are in the homestretch of the 2025-26 regular season, with just five games left on the schedule. Tonight, they host the Moose Jaw Warriors (23-34-5-2), who enter tonight tied with the Red Deer Rebels for the eighth and final playoff spot.
THE RACE FOR THE TOP SEED:
The East Division title is already clinched for a second straight season, but the Raiders’ battle for first place in the Eastern Conference is heating up. The Raiders are tied with the Medicine Hat Tigers for first place with 100 points entering tonight’s action.
Raiders schedule: vs MJ, @ REG, vs REG, vs SAS, @ SAS
Tigers schedule: @ LET, vs LET, @ RD, vs RD
RUDOLPH CHASING HISTORY:
With five games left in the season, Daxon Rudolph is two goals away from setting a franchise record. With 27 goals this season, Rudolph is one back of tying Josh Morrissey for the most goals scored by a Raiders defenceman in a single season. The 17-year-old blueliner has three goals in his last six games.
3 IN 3 SUPREMACY:
Three games in three nights is a tough draw for any team, unless you’re the Raiders. Prince Albert had four weekends of three in three games, and went 10-2-0-0, including a perfect 4-0-0-0 on Sunday. Their most recent three in three was last weekend, where the Raiders ended an Alberta road trip with a 4-3 win in Edmonton.
SHORTHANDED GWG:
Aiden Oiring’s shorthanded goal on Sunday stood as the game winner in Edmonton. Oiring scored on the backhand after taking a pass from Linden Burrett in the offensive zone. Oiring leads the Raiders with two shorthanded goals this season.
UPCOMING MILESTONES:
Linden Burrett: playing 100th WHL game tonight
Brandon Gorzynski: 2 goals away from 50
Justice Christensen: 6 points away from 150
UP NEXT:
The Raiders begin a home and home series with the Regina Pats tomorrow night at the Brandt Centre. They will meet at the Art Hauser Centre for the rematch on Tuesday night. After that, Prince Albert finishes the regular season against the Saskatoon Blades next weekend.
