Game Preview: March 1 @ Swift Current
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders (33-20-4-1) will try to end their weekend with a win as they visit the Swift Current Broncos tonight. Prince Albert fell 5-4 on home ice to the Edmonton Oil Kings last night in a penalty filled game.
DRAGO POTS A PAIR:
Lukas Dragicevic scored twice in last night’s setback against the Oil Kings. His first goal of the game came in the first period, and was the 50th goal of his WHL career. He also scored late in the third period to make it a 5-4 game, but the Raiders came up just short on their comeback big. The 19-year-old continues to lead the Raiders in scoring by a defenceman, as he sits at 65 points in 56 games this season.
JUICE TAKES THE LEAGUE LEAD:
Justice Christensen’s goal in the second period on Friday night moved him into sole possession of first place in goals among defencemen. He passed Bryce Pickford (MH) by scoring his 21st goal of the season. In 58 games this season, the Raider captain also has 21 assists for 42 points, and leads the team with a +20 rating.
UPCOMING MILESTONES:
Aiden Oiring: One assist from 100 career.
Justice Christensen: Four points away 100 career.
