Game Preview: January 24 vs Saskatoon
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (23-15-3-0) looks to make it a perfect homestand tonight as they host the Saskatoon Blades (23-15-2-3). The Raiders have gone 3-0 on their four game homestand so far, and tonight they have a chance to pull into first place in the East Division with a win over their biggest rivals. The Blades currently sit in first place with Prince Albert just two points back. On top of that, grabbing control of first in the East Division would instantly move the Raiders from sixth place in the Eastern Conference into second (the two division leaders automatically get the first and second seeds).
THREE OF EIGHT:
Tonight marks the third of eights meetings this season between the highway 11 rivals. They will play each other five more times before the regular season ends (January 26 @ SAS, March 7 vs SAS, March 8 @ SAS, March 21 @ SAS, March 22 vs SAS). The season series is currently at one game apiece, with the Blades taking the first game at the Art Hauser Centre by a 4-2 final, and the Raiders getting revenge on New Year’s Day with a 6-3 win at SaskTel Centre. Brayden Dube, Aiden Oiring, and Tomas Mrsic lead both sides in scoring in the season series with four points each.
