Game Preview: Game 53 vs Brandon
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders look to regroup at home tonight as they welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings to the Art Hauser Centre. Prince Albert lost 6-1 in Saskatoon last night, ending a brief two game winning streak. Turner McMillen had the lone goal shorthanded for the Raiders, while Max Hildebrand stopped 31 shots in the loss. The club will look to pick up their first win against Brandon this season, as they’ve been unsuccessful in their first three tries. Brandon is coming off of a 4-1 win on home ice last night against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
HOT AT HOME:
The green and gold will be looking to win their sixth straight home game tonight. Their most recent win on home ice came on Wednesday night in shutout fashion, 3-0 over the Hurricanes. Their other four wins in the five game stretch have come against Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Saskatoon, and Victoria. Three of those wins have came in a shootout.
POLISH PRINCE REACHES 50 GAMES:
It’s a small milestone tonight, but Polish import forward Krzystof Macias gets set to play in his 50th Western Hockey League game tonight. His parents have been in attendance for his last four games dating back to February 5th in Moose Jaw. Macias is sixth in team scoring with 26 points (16G-10A) this season.
