Game Preview: Game 51 vs Lethbridge
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders welcome the Lethbridge Hurricanes to the Art Hauser Centre for the first time this season. It’s just their second of four head to head contests of the season, with the Raiders winning their first matchup by a 4-2 final on November 8th in Lethbridge. Sloan Stanick was hot that game, registering three assists, while four different Raiders scored in the victory. Prince Albert is coming off of their most recent win on Saturday night, 3-2 over the Medicine Hat Tigers
THE STANDINGS RACE:
A win tonight would put the Raiders back in a playoff spot. Entering tonight’s action, the club sits one point back of the Calgary Hitmen, and just a few points back of the Hurricanes for the seventh seed. However, Lethbridge has two games in hand and Calgary has three.
CATCHING FIRE:
Brayden Dube scored twice in the Raiders’ win against the Tigers on Saturday. His first goal of the night came after a lengthy video review after it was originally waved off for a high stick. His second of the night came on a delayed penalty (like the first one), as he tucked a shot home five hole past Ethan McCallum. Dube was one of the goal scorers against the Hurricanes in November as well, and has 12 goals this season, more than doubling his total (5) from last year.
