Game Preview: Game 4 @ Brandon, September 27
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (2-0-1-0) look to pick up points in four straight games to start the 2025-26 season, as they visit the Brandon Wheat Kings (0-2-0-0) to wrap up a three game road swing. Prince Albert picked up a 6-4 win in Regina last night over the Pats, in a game where six different Raiders found the back of the net. The Wheat Kings have been idle since last weekend, where they dropped a pair of games to the Moose Jaw Warriors.
FIRST TIMERS:
Three Raiders scored their first career WHL goals last night in Regina. Owen Corkish tipped a puck home on a Raider powerplay in the first period, while Ben Harvey also scored in the first, redirecting a pass from Harrison Lodewyk home. Max Heise scored his first goal in his first WHL game in the third period into an empty net, sealing the win for Prince Albert. Steele Bass also had a first, as he collected his first WHL win between the pipes. It was his first career start.
RUDOLPH HAS STRONG PERFORMANCE IN CAREER GAME 67:
In his 67th WHL game, Daxon Rudolph took over. The 2026 NHL Draft prospect scored the game winning goal in the third period last night, and also had two assists. He was named the first star as a result. Rudolph now has two goals and two assists in three games this season.
DUBE EXTENDS GOAL STREAK:
Brayden Dube scored for the second straight game, and is now the only Raider with goals in back to back games. He scored twice last Saturday in Saskatoon, and sits with three goals and two assists entering tonight’s action. The 20-year-old leads the team in scoring with his five points.
WHO TO WATCH:
Wheat Kings defenceman Grayson Burzynski leads his team in scoring with three points (1-5) in two games so far this season. Fellow defenceman Giorgos Pantelas is right behind him with five points (0-5) in two games.
