Game Preview: Game 30 @ Calgary
The Raiders gave up three goals in the first period, and three more in the second as they fell 6-2 to the Medicine Hat Tigers. Gavin McKenna and Cayden Lindstrom each had a pair of goals for the Tigers, while Justice Christensen and Luke Moroz had the Raider goals. Prince Albert is now 1-1 on their three game road trip which wraps up tonight in Calgary.
THE FIRST OF MANY:
In his 15th game, Luke Moroz found the back of the net for the first time in his WHL career. A shot that beat Zach Zahara top corner was the second goal of the night for Prince Albert. It was a goal that after the game, Luke said he didn’t know went in, as he finished the play on his back side after he was taken down to the ice by a Tigers defender. His goal went along with his team best +2 rating on Saturday night.
THE GOALTENDING SITUATION:
After Chase Coward was pulled in the second period last night, it is all but certain that Max Hildebrand will get the start tonight in Calgary, especially since Coward has started the last three games. It will be Hildebrand’s first start since November 25, and he will be looking for a good performance on the ice, as that last start was a 6-3 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors. In 15 games of action this season, Hildebrand has a 2.80 GAA and a .911 SV%.
