Game Preview: Game 29 @ Medicine Hat
The Raiders snapped a three game slide on Friday night, as they beat the Swift Current Broncos 4-3 in a shootout at the InnovationPlex. Prince Albert had a 2-1 lead heading into the third period, but the Broncos came back to take a 3-2 lead midway through the final regulation frame. Sloan Stanick tied the game with 25 seconds left on the clock, and scored the only goal in the shootout, as the Raiders improved to 14-12-0-2 on the season.
DEFENCEMEN ON THE SCORESHEET:
Aside from Stanick scoring the tying goal in the third period, the other pair of Raider goals came from the blueline. Eric Johnston scored Prince Albert’s first goal of the game, while Terrell Goldsmith scored the second. Both goals came in the second period, separated by just under four minutes. Johnston collected his third goal of the campaign, while Goldsmith tallied his second of the season.
Harrison Lodewyk will be playing in his 150th career WHL game tonight. All 150 games have been played in a Raider uniform. Entering tonight’s game, Lodewyk has registered 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points, to go along with 75 penalty minutes. Through 28 games this season, the forward has totaled three goals and eight assists for 11 points.

Prince Albert wraps up a three in three weekend tomorrow in Calgary as they battle the Hitmen. It’s the second straight game that the Raiders will be at a teddy bear toss night, as Medicine Hat hosts theirs tonight. After Sunday’s game against the Hitmen, the Raiders will return home for four games in a row at the Art Hauser Centre over a nine day span before the holiday break.
