Game Preview: Game 25 @ Wenatchee
FRIDAY RECAP:
The Prince Albert Raiders played one of their best games all season on Friday night, as they beat the Portland Winterhawks 2-1 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Max Hildebrand was the best player on the ice all night long, as he stopped 42 of 43 shots, including a WHL Play of the Week candidate late in the third period. Oli Chenier scored his second goal of the season in the first period, while Krzysztof Macias netted the game winning goal in the second period. Prince Albert improved to 13-10-0-1 on the season, as they handed Portland their first home loss of the season.
ONE MORE ROAD GAME:
The Raiders are finally seeing their seven game road trip come to an end tonight in Wenatchee. Through six games, Prince Albert is 4-2-0-0, and is guaranteed a winning record on the swing. Their only two losses have come in Tri-City and Everett, as both games were decided by just one goal. Except for the win in Lethbridge, every game on the road trip has been a one goal game. The Raiders can finally return home after tonight’s game, as they will prepare for their first home game since November 4. Their first home game back will be in a week’s time, as they host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday, November 25. Dan Hodgon’s jersey number 16 will be lifted to the rafters in that contest, as the Raiders will be recognizing the Raiders’ greatest goal scorer of all time. The next night, the Brandon Wheat Kings are in town for some Sunday action. It’s grandparent night at the Art Hauser Centre, where grandparents will be able to take pictures with their grandkids with the Raiders after the game.
