Game Preview: Game 10 vs Saskatoon
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders wrap up a three in three weekend tonight at home against the Blades. Prince Albert has won both of their games so far this weekend, with those victories coming against the Calgary Hitmen on Friday and the Moose Jaw Warriors last night. The Raiders have scored 13 goals in their last two games, and enter tonight’s action on a four game winning streak.
EAST DIVISION RACE:
While 6-3-0-0 is a great start to the season, the Raiders are right in the middle of the East Division standings. The Regina Pats sit atop with 13 points, while the Raiders, Warriors, and Blades all have 12 points, with the Wheat Kings right behind them with 11. In the Eastern Conference, the Raiders sit tied for the third spot, and are tied for the fourth best record in the WHL.
GOALS FROM EVERYONE:
The Raiders had six different goal scorers on Saturday in Moose Jaw. Sloan Stanick, Aiden Oiring, Brayden Dube, Ryder Ritchie, Cole Peardon, and Niall Crocker all lit the lamp in the 6-3 win.
NOT A COWARD BETWEEN THE PIPES:
It was an outstanding performance for Chase Coward in goal on Saturday night. The 2003-born netminder picked up his second win of the season, stopping 45 of 48 shots he faced, taking home first star honours as a result.
