Game Preview: February 28 vs Edmonton
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders (33-19-4-1) look to avenge a 2-1 overtime loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes as they host the Edmonton Oil Kings (32-22-2-2) tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. Prince Albert has points in three straight games, while Edmonton dropped their last contest on Wednesday as well 4-1 in Brandon. It’s the final meeting between these teams in the regular season. The Raiders won the first two games in November and December, but Edmonton won the last one in January back at Rogers Place.
BURRETT FINDS THE BACK OF THE NET:
For the first time in his WHL career, Linden Burrett scored a goal. Early in the first period on Wednesday, he toe dragged around a Hurricane and fired a shot off the post and in, scoring goal number one in game 29.
HILTY CONTINUES TO IMPRESS:
Despite being credited with the overtime loss on Wednesday, Max Hildebrand has been on a tear recently. With wins in 13 of his last 18 starts, the 20-year-old continues to lead the league in save percentage with a .917. He’s also got the eighth best GAA at 2.92.
