Game Preview: February 18 @ Brandon
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (31-18-3-1) takes on the Brandon Wheat Kings (29-16-4-3) at Westoba Place tonight for the battle for first place in the East Division. The Raiders enter tonight’s game one point up on the Wheaties for the top spot. Both teams won their games on Monday.
DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?:
The Raiders put on an offensive clinic yesterday in Moose Jaw, beating the Warriors 8-2. It’s the first time the Raiders have scored eight goals in a game this season.
JUICE BOMBS FOR EVERYONE:
Raider captain Justice Christensen has been putting up points like crazy lately, tallying six in his last three games. With his two goal, two assist effort on Monday, Christensen slid into a tie for first place for goals scored by a defenceman this season (20).
THE 16-YEAR-OLD CONNECTION:
The trio of Daxon Rudolph, Riley Boychuk, and Ty Meunier combined for 11 points in Moose Jaw. Rudolph put up a staggering five points (1G-4A) with a +6 rating, while both Boychuk and Meunier had a goal and two assists each. In two instances, Raider goals reflected this: scored by Rudolph, assisted by Meunier and Boychuk, and scored by Meunier, assisted by Rudolph and Boychuk. Boychuk’s goal in the first period had the lone assist to Meunier as well.
