Game Preview: February 16 vs Moose Jaw
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (41-8-5-0) host the Moose Jaw Warriors (19-28-5-2) for a Family Day matinee, with a 2pm puck drop at the Art Hauser Centre. Prince Albert won a thriller on Saturday night, 5-4 in a shootout over the Saskatoon Blades. It was a game the Raiders led 2-0, then trailed 4-2, before scoring two straight to force extra time. Aiden Oiring and Braeden Cootes scored in the shootout, while Michal Orsulak stopped both shooters he faced. Orsulak has stopped all five shots he’s faced through two shootout games so far this season, which included three stops in a 3-2 shootout win in Moose Jaw in January. Meanwhile, the Warriors have dropped five straight games, and are now clinging on to the eighth and final playoff spot as a result, just one point ahead of the Red Deer Rebels. If the 2026 WHL Playoffs started today, the Raiders and Warriors would be facing off in the first round.
250 GAMES FOR JUICE:
Raiders captain Justice Christensen hit a huge milestone on Saturday against Saskatoon, as he played in his 250th WHL game. Undrafted in the WHL, Christensen has come a long way in his WHL career, as the Red Deer, AB product has 50 goals and 89 assists for 139 points.
A MILESTONE FOR DAX AS WELL:
In his second WHL season, Daxon Rudolph has already reached 100 career points. An assist against the Blades got Rudolph to that mark, who has 30 goals and 70 assists in 118 WHL games.
50 JUICE BOMBS:
Raiders defenceman Justice Christensen reached 50 goals in his WHL career on Tuesday against the Pats. The tally snapped a 10-game goalless drought. It was a powerplay goal, and also stood as the game winner.
UPCOMING MILESTONES:
Maddix McCagherty: 2 points away from 100
Brandon Gorzynski: 5 goals away from 50
UP NEXT:
