Game Preview: February 15 vs Calgary
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (29-18-3-1) looks to end their three game homestand with a second straight win tonight as they host the Calgary Hitmen (33-14-3-2). The Raiders picked up a big 6-1 win last night against the Swift Current Broncos, thanks in part to a four goal third period. The Hitmen fell 6-3 in Saskatoon last night, putting the brakes on a three game winning streak. It’s the fourth and final time these two teams will meet in the regular season, with the Hitmen holding a 2-1 record in the season series.
TWO JUICE BOMBS, PLEASE:
Captain Justice Christensen scored twice in the third period in last night’s win against Swift Current. The defenceman now has 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points on the season.
150 FOR CROCKER:
Niall Crocker’s powerplay goal with 5.8 seconds left in the first period last night marked his 150th WHL point. The 20-year-old winger has 64 career goals and 86 assists. More than half, 36 to be exact, of his career goals have come on the powerplay.
APPROACHING MILESTONES:
Aiden Oiring: Two points away from 150.
