Game Preview: February 1 vs Wenatchee
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (26-15-3-1) looks to extend their point streak to nine games tonight as they host the Wenatchee Wild. The Raiders picked up a 5-2 win in their most recent game on Wednesday night against the Regina Pats.
HISTORY TONIGHT:
The Raiders play a home game against Wenatchee for the first time ever tonight. The two teams have only played each other once (November 19, 2023), where the Wild picked up a 4-3 shootout win, in what was Prince Albert’s last game of their US Division road swing. Harrison Lodewyk, Brayden Dube, and Niall Crocker are the current Raiders who had points in that game.
THE STREAK COMES TO AN END:
Daxon Rudolph’s point streak came to an end on Wednesday night at 12 games. The rookie defenceman picked up two goals and 13 assists in those games, and had a +13 rating. He set the longest point streak by a rookie this season, and has 25 points (4G-21A) in 41 games this season.
SMITTY COMES THROUGH:
Evan Smith scored his first goal as a Raider against the Pats on Wednesday night. 6:25 into the third period, he took a backhand pass in the crease from Oli Chenier and tapped home a shot which made it a 4-2 game at that point.
APPROACHING MILESTONES:
Oli Chenier: Two games away from 100.
Niall Crocker: Seven points away from 150.
