Game Preview: Cobra Chickens vs Tigers, November 29

SETTING IT UP:

The Prince Albert Raiders (17-1-4-0) started their weekend with a 2-1 win in Brandon last night. After the Wheat Kings scored the first goal of the game in the first period, Prince Albert responded less than a minute later to tie the game thanks to a juice bomb by captain Justice Christensen. The next goal didn’t come until the third period, where Jonah Sivertson scored a gorgeous goal that stood as the game winner. Dimitri Fortin stopped 34 shots, collecting his seventh win of the season.

COBRA CHICKENS RETURN TO THE ICE TONIGHT:

For the third time, the Cobra Chickens hit the ice tonight. Rebranding from the Raiders, Prince Albert will wear newly designed Cobra Chickens jerseys against the Tigers tonight. Fans will have a chance to get their hands on one with tonight’s jersey raffle. Additionally, Cobra Chickens jerseys are being sold in the Source for Sports team store. RUDOLPH SHINES IN CHL USA PROSPECTS CHALLENGE:

The best of the best of the 2026 NHL Draft eligible players went head to head in Calgary and Lethbridge on Tuesday and Wednesday. Raiders defenceman Daxon Rudolph put together a nice two game stretch, including a two assist effort in Game Two’s CHL win.

WORLD JUNIORS REPRESENT:

Alisher Sarkenov will be away from the team for a while, as he is off to represent Kazakhstan at the Divison 1A World Junior Championship in Slovenia. That tournament begins on December 7th, and ends on the 13th.

Raiders defenceman Linden Burrett sits second in the WHL in +/- rating at +19. Only Julius Miettinen of the Everett Silvertips is higher.

For personal reasons, forward Jackson Kostiuk has left the team.

UP NEXT:

The Raiders head to Alberta next week to play four games in five nights. Their first stop will be in Medicine Hat on Wednesday night for a rematch against the Tigers.
