Game Day, Teddy Bear Toss Night: December 6 vs Calgary
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (11-9-3-0) saw their eight game point streak come to an end on Tuesday night in a 3-2 loss to the Red Deer Rebels. Tied after 40 minutes, the Rebels scored twice in the third period to come away with the win, despite the Raiders outshooting them 43-28 in the game, and 22-6 in the third. Tonight, they’ll look to start a new winning streak against the Calgary Hitmen (13-8-3-1). The Hitmen sit fourth in the Eastern Conference, and have gone 7-2-1-0 in their past 10 games, which is also how the Raiders have done in their last 10. Calgary has been idle since Sunday, when they blanked the Moose Jaw Warriors 9-0.
50 FOR MRSIC:
In his 152nd career WHL game, Tomas Mrsic hit the 50 goal plateau, with a lamp lighter near the end of the third period on Tuesday. Mrsic leads the Raiders in goals this season with 17. He’s already near his career high goal total from last year, where he scored 23 goals in 63 games.
TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT:
It’s teddy bear toss night at the Art Hauser Centre. Fans can throw their bears, toques, mittens, or anything they’re bringing to the game onto the ice after the Raiders score their first goal. Last season, Sloan Stanick scored the teddy bear toss goal. Who gets it tonight?
APPROACHING MILESTONES:
Lukas Dragicevic: Two assists away from 150 career.
Brayden Dube: Four games away from 150.
Niall Crocker: Seven games away from 250.
