Game Day: October 4 vs Everett (Hockey Fights Cancer Night)

SETTING IT UP:

The Raiders (1-2-1-0) look to snap a two game losing streak tonight as they welcome the Everett Silvertips to the Art Hauser Centre. It’s the first of eight straight matchups against teams from the Western Conference tonight. The Silvertips (2-1-0-0) come into Prince Albert on a two game winning streak after dropping their first game of the season.

FIRST OVERALL MEETS FIRST OVERALL:

The first overall picks from the 2023 and 2024 WHL Prospects Draft go head to head tonight. 2023 first overall pick Daxon Rudolph and 2024 first overall pick Landon DuPont will face each other in the WHL for the first time ever. The two know each other well from their time in the CSSHL, where they met in the league final in 2023, with DuPont’s Edge School emerging victorious over Rudolph’s NAX.

HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER:

It’s a special night in the Art Hauser Centre, as the Raiders are playing their Hockey Fights Cancer game. Not only will the team be wearing special edition jerseys for the game, but their messages about who they are playing for will be displayed on the scoreboard throughout the night. Whether it’s a family member or a close friend, all Raiders players and coaches have someone special to play for tonight.

Prince Albert welcomes the Spokane Chiefs to town on Wednesday, October 9th. After that, the team heads on the road for their B.C. Division road trip. That will go from October 12th, where they play their first game in Prince George, and end on October 19th with their last game in Vancouver. Their first home game back from the road swing is on Friday, October 25th against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
