Game Day: October 18 @ Victoria
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders (2-5-2-0) punted aside a six game losing streak with a 5-2 win in Kamloops on Tuesday night. Five different skaters found the back of the net for Prince Albert, while Max Hildebrand stopped 37 of 39 shots thrown at him. Tonight, the team takes on a red hot Victoria Royals club (5-1-1-1) that has picked up points in three straight games. Victoria has been idle since Saturday, where they picked up a 6-3 win on home ice over the Wenatchee Wild.
WHO’S HOT:
Tomas Mrsic, Niall Crocker, and Aiden Oiring lead the Raiders in scoring with 10 points. Mrsic and Crocker both have six points in their last three games. Brayden Dube is right behind them with five points in his last three games. Mrsic, Crocker, and Dube, as well as Lukas Dragicevic, Ethan Bibeau, Doogan Pederson, and Luke Moroz are all on three game point streaks.
ROSTER CHANGE:
The Raiders released import forward Lukas Kral this week. The move means Prince Albert is now at the maximum number of two imports allowed on the roster (Macias, Vochvest).
SUCCESS AGAINST THE ROYALS:
It’s been nearly eight years since the Raiders last lost to the Victoria Royals. You’d have to go back all the way to November 15, 2016, where the Raiders fell 3-1 on the road. Since then, Prince Albert has won the last five regular season meetings.
