Allan Selected to Represent Canada at 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship
Prince Albert, SK – Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Nolan Allan has been named to Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team for the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship.
Allan is one of 25 players named to Canada’s roster for the tournament that will take place in Frisco and Plano, Texas from April 26 to May 6.
The Davidson, SK product has an assist in 10 games for the Raiders this season in the Subway Hub Centre. Last season, he scored twice and added six assists in 58 games for the Raiders.
Allan was given a ‘B’ rating in NHL Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List in January, which indicates a potential second-or-third-round draft pick in the upcoming 2021 NHL Draft.
Internationally, Allan represented Canada at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge as a member of Canada Red. He had an assist in five games at the tournament. Last summer, he was named to Hockey Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 selection camp. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Hlinka Gretzky Cup was cancelled.
