RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (8-1-0-0) are back on home ice as they face off against the Red Deer Rebels (5-2-1-0) on Parker Kelly Bobblehead Night presented by Canadian Tire. On Monday, the Raiders wrapped up their four-game Central Division road trip with a 4-0 shutout of the Calgary Hitmen. Ian Scott made 23 saves for his first shutout of the year. Brett Leason, another Calgarian, had a pair of goals and an assist in the win. Parker Kelly tallied shorthanded and Aliaksei Protas also scored for the Raiders.
VS. RED DEER: Tonight’s game is the second of the season between the Raiders and the Rebels. Last Saturday night, the Raiders lost a 4-3 game to the Rebels, which was Prince Albert’s first defeat of the season. Brett Leason had a goal and an assist for the Raiders. Sean Montgomery also had a pair of assists.

MOVING ON UP: Following a 3-1 Central Division road trip, the Raiders moved up in the Kia CHL Top 10. This week, the Raiders are the second ranked team in the CHL, up from fourth last week. It’s the highest the Raiders have been in the CHL Top 10 since they were second on October 2, 2013.
SHUTOUT: Ian Scott recorded his fourth career shutout on Monday afternoon in his hometown of Calgary against the Hitmen. The 23-save performance was his first shutout of the year and first since March 4, 2017 against the Kootenay ICE. In fact, all three of Scott’s previous clean sheets came against the ICE.
SCORING CHANGE: Brett Leason was credited with an assist on Sergei Sapego’s power-play goal on Sept. 29, giving him a point in every game this season. Over the course of the nine-game point streak, Leason has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points on the season.
ROSTER NEWS: On Thursday, the Raiders re-assigned 2000-born defenceman Konrad Belcourt to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the AJHL. The Sherwood Park, AB product played in three games so far this season. Since being acquired from the Rockets in January, Belcourt has played in 23 games for Prince Albert.
