WIESBLATT VS. THE WHEATIES: Ozzy Wiesblatt is the leading scorer among returning skaters from last year’s season series against the Wheat Kings. In six games against Brandon last year, the San Jose Sharks prospect scored three times and added three assists. Wiesblatt also had six points (two goals, four assists) in six games against the Wheat Kings during his rookie season in 2018-19.
STANDING STRONG: Sunday night was the sixth time in 14 career starts that Carter Serhyenko had only allowed one goal. He had won the previous five games. Last season, the Saskatoon product allowed just 28 goals in 15 appearances for a 2.21 goals-against average.
50 FOR LAVENTURE: Winger Tyson Laventure is set to play in his 50th career WHL game. A second-round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft, Laventure has six goals and an assist since joining the Raiders full-time last season. This season, the 2021 NHL Draft eligible prospect has a goal in two games.
MORE DEBUTS: Defenceman Tayem Gislason and forward Kyle Crosbie made their Raiders debuts in Sunday night’s game against the Warriors. For Gislason, it was his first game played in the WHL.
