T-BIRDS PROSPECT FABBRO NAMED BEST IN BC

VANCOUVER, B.C. (June 25, 2013) – Today, Hockey Now is pleased to announce that Dante Fabbro, captain of the Burnaby Winter Club Bantam AAA team, is Hockey Now‘s 2013 B.C. Minor Hockey Player of the Year.

The award is open to 2013 Bantam-Draft eligible players who are registered members of BC Hockey and in full attendance at an educational facility. Judging criteria is based on hockey ability & performance, sportsmanship & leadership, and academic achievement & community involvement.

“I’ve never received a recognition like this, before,” he said. “It’s cool; it’s weird. I don’t know what to say, I’m speechless; it’s just such a huge honour.”

Fabbro was selected eighth overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds in this year’s Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
