Thunderbirds sign first-rounder Brock England to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
KENT, Wash. – The Seattle Thunderbirds announced the signing of 2009 forward Brock England to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. England was selected in the first round, 11th overall in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft and is the first player drafted in the 2024 Prospects Draft Player to sign with the T-Birds.
“Brock is a player we have had interest in for the last two seasons,” said T-Birds Director of Player Personnel Craig Goebel. “His game has continually progressed, and we were extremely pleased to draft him with our first pick”
“His combination of speed and skill with a high competitive level are the factors that made our decision quite easy. He will be a great fit in our program. We would like to welcome Brock and his family to the Thunderbirds.” continued Goebel
England spent the past season with Edge School in the CSSHL (Canadian Sports School League). He played 24 games with Edge U15 Prep, tallying 18 goals and 22 assists for 40 points, and played 7 games with Edge U18 Prep scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists for another 4 points.
