Regina, Sask. \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The Regina Pats Hockey Club will host the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre in their 2026 home opener on Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Pats host the Broncos in their home opener for the fifth time in franchise history (as the Swift Current Broncos). The last time the Pats hosted the Raiders to begin their home schedule was September 19, 2013, losing 7-2. The Blue Brigade will open the season on the road on Friday, September 18 in Prince Albert against the Raiders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Regina Pats organization is very excited to have signed our second-round pick, 35th overall, from the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft,\u201d said Regina Pats General Manager Dale Derkatch. \u201cKai brings an exciting combination of skill, work ethic, and leadership to the table, which we believe will help bolster our forward group when he becomes a full-time player with the Pats.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dingwall, 15, was selected by the Pats in the second round, 35th overall, in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. The 6-foot, 186-pound left-shot forward recorded 46 points (21G-25A) in 28 games this past season with Calgary IHA U15 Prep.<\/p>\n

The Kenora, Ont. product helped Calgary IHA capture the CSSHL U15 Championship and was named to the CSSHL U15 Prairie Second All-Star Team after leading his Club in goals, assists, and points.<\/p>\n

Wolanski, 15, was selected by the Pats in the second round of the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. The 6-foot-2, 181-pound right-shot defenceman from Cloverdale, B.C., recorded 47 points (11G-36A) in 28 games with Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep during the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

Wolanski earned CSSHL U15 First All-Star Team honours after finishing second among Yale Hockey Academy defencemen in scoring. He brings a combination of size, mobility and offensive ability to the Pats blueline pipeline.<\/p>\n

Regina, Sask. \u2014<\/strong> The Regina Pats have signed 2026 first-round pick Fletcher MacDonald to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.<\/p>\n

MacDonald made franchise history earlier this month when he was selected ninth overall by the Pats in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft on May 6, becoming the highest-drafted goaltender in club history. He also became the first goaltender selected by Regina in the first round since Jordan Hollett was chosen 13th overall in 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Regina Pats organization is very excited to have signed our first-round pick from the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft,\u201d said Regina Pats General Manager Dale Derkatch. \u201cWe believe Fletcher has a very bright future ahead of him, and we\u2019re confident he will bring stability to our goaltending position when he becomes a full-time player with the Pats.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 14-year-old netminder was also the highest-drafted goaltender selected in the WHL Prospects Draft since Taylor Gauthier was taken 10th overall by the Prince George Cougars in 2016. Prior to MacDonald, the last goaltender selected in the first round was Carter Esler, who went 23rd overall to the Spokane Chiefs in 2023. The last goaltender chosen ninth overall in the draft was Ian Scott by the Prince Albert Raiders in 2014.<\/p>\n

MacDonald spent the 2025-26 season with the Canadian Athletic Club U15 AA program in the AEHL, where he posted a 2.87 goals-against average, a .925 save percentage and one shutout across 28 games. The 6-foot-3, 199-pound goaltender from Edmonton was named to the AEHL U15 AA First All-Star Team following a standout season.<\/p>\n

Despite facing the most shots against in the entire league with 1,005, MacDonald consistently rose to the occasion, seeing 290 more shots than the next closest goaltender in the AEHL.<\/p>\n

MacDonald elevated his game even further in the postseason, recording a remarkable .969 save percentage in two playoff appearances while allowing just three goals over 120 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

On the provincial stage, MacDonald represented Team Alberta at the 2026 Alberta Cup, helping guide his team to a championship while earning First All-Star Team honours. In three tournament appearances, he posted a .942 save percentage.<\/p>\n

Regina, Sask. \u2014<\/strong> The Regina Pats<\/span><\/span> are set to host their 2026 Spring Development Camp from May 21-23 at the Co-operators Centre<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The three-day camp will feature a group of the organization\u2019s top prospects, including recent draft selections, listed players, and returning young talent. All on-ice sessions will take place on the C6 Rink, and admission is free to the public.<\/p>\n

The camp roster includes 20 players, highlighted by 2025 first overall WHL Prospects Draft pick Maddox Schultz<\/span><\/span>, 2026 first-round selection Fletcher MacDonald<\/span><\/span>, and several members of the club\u2019s 2025 and 2026 draft classes.<\/p>\n
