All 80 players have been selected in the Canadian Hockey League Draft, including 29 players from the Western Hockey League.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"1057\">&#8220;We&#8217;re very excited to see two of our prospects, Logan Henry and Cruz Nicolay, earn invitations to Hockey Canada&#8217;s National Under-17 Development Camp,&#8221; said Regina Pats General Manager <strong data-start=\"187\" data-end=\"204\">Dale Derkatch<\/strong>. &#8220;It&#8217;s a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication they&#8217;ve shown throughout their hockey careers. This is a tremendous opportunity for both players to compete against the top talent in their age group from across the country, and we&#8217;re excited to see how they perform and continue their development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1699\">Henry, 15, spent the 2025-26 season with Burnaby Winter Club U18 Prep, recording eight goals and seven assists for 15 points in 27 regular-season games. The Prince George, B.C. product elevated his game in the postseason, tallying six points (1G-5A) in five playoff contests. The 5-foot-10, 187-pound forward also represented Team British Columbia at the WHL Cup, where he was named Game MVP against Team Manitoba and helped his province capture a silver medal after posting four points (3G-1A). Henry added two goals at the Circle K Classic before being selected by the Pats 23rd overall in the first round of the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"2374\">Nicolay, 16, suited up for Calgary IHA U18 Prep during the 2025-26 campaign, collecting three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 27 games while ranking second among team defencemen in goals and third in points. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound blueliner also appeared in five games at the Circle K Classic, made two AJHL appearances with the Drayton Valley Thunder, and made his WHL debut with the Pats on March 14 against the Prince Albert Raiders. The Rocky Mountain House, Alta. native recorded his first WHL point with an assist in Regina&#8217;s regular-season finale in Brandon. He also begins his second season as the Pats&#8217; Manager of Hockey Operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A native of Brandon, Man., Paddock enjoyed a standout WHL career that included four seasons with the Regina Pats from 2016-20. He helped backstop the Pats to the 2018 Memorial Cup Final, earning a place on the CHL Memorial Cup All-Star Team following the tournament. He ranks 14th in franchise history in games played by a goaltender (114), minutes played (6,314) and goals-against average (3.27).<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Following the conclusion of his WHL career with the Prince Albert Raiders, Paddock utilized the WHL Scholarship program while attending Acadia University and the University of the Fraser Valley from 2021-24 before returning to Regina in a coaching role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Canada&#8217;s national under-17 development camp is scheduled for <strong>July 17-21<\/strong> at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, Ont. Both have an impressive track record of developing players, and we believe they are a perfect fit for our group.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McEwen, 35, joins the Pats after serving as Head Coach of the Prairie Hockey Academy U18 Prep team during the 2025-26 season. Under his guidance, PHA posted a 21-8 record before advancing to the quarterfinals of the CSSHL Playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Prairie Hockey Academy, the Whitewood, Sask., product spent two seasons with the Swift Current Broncos, serving as both an assistant coach and head coach from 2023-25. During his tenure, the Broncos qualified for the WHL Playoffs in both seasons, highlighted by a 40-22-4-2 campaign in 2023-24 that saw Swift Current finish second in the Eastern Conference and first in the Central Division. That season, McEwen guided the Broncos past the Lethbridge Hurricanes in a first-round sweep before falling to the eventual WHL champion Moose Jaw Warriors in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Before taking over behind the Broncos bench, McEwen served as an assistant coach with the Winnipeg ICE during the 2022-23 season, helping the club capture the WHL regular season title with 115 points before advancing to the WHL Championship Series. Prior to transitioning into coaching, he spent five seasons as a scout with the Kootenay and Winnipeg ICE organizations from 2017-22.<\/p>\n<p>Pedrick arrives in Regina following four seasons as an assistant coach with the Brandon Wheat Kings from 2022-26, where he worked primarily with the club&#8217;s defence corps.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Brandon, the Swan River, Man., native spent 16 seasons with Notre Dame, serving as Director of Player Development while also holding various coaching roles. He was named Head Coach of the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA program in 2021-22, leading the club to a SMAAAHL Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Pedrick&#8217;s coaching resume also includes two TELUS Cup national championships with the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA program in 2009 and 2010. Prior to joining USA Hockey&#8217;s National Team Development Program, he developed at Shattuck-St. Mary&#8217;s, one of the premier hockey programs in the United States, from 2022-24.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s10\"><span class=\"s9\">Trottier also has deep Saskatchewan roots. He is the grandson of <strong>Hockey Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier<\/strong>, the Val Marie, Sask. product who captured six Stanley Cups during his legendary NHL career. The Pats will then return to the Brandt Centre for their home opener on <strong>Sunday, September 27<\/strong>, welcoming the Swift Current Broncos for a 2 p.m. puck drop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The 2026-27 regular season consists of 68 games, including 34 home dates at the Brandt Centre. The smooth-skating Finnish defenceman headlines a class that also includes the mobile, physical Cermak in the second round and the high-motor, two-way forward Karsay in the third round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ossi Tukio | 1st Round, #18 Overall | Tampere, Finland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Tukio, 18, was selected by the Pats with the 18th pick in the 2026 CHL Import Draft. The 6-foot-2, 187-pound left-shot defenceman from Tampere, Finland, captained Ilves&#8217; U20 team in the U20 SM-sarja during the 2025-26 season, recording 25 points (9G-16A) in 34 games. He helped lead Ilves to a second-place finish while ranking as the league&#8217;s second-highest scoring draft-eligible defenceman during the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>The son of former New York Islanders draft pick and longtime Liiga defenceman Arto Tukio, Tukio also logged top-pairing minutes for Finland&#8217;s U20 national team during the spring, positioning himself as a strong candidate for a spot on Finland&#8217;s roster for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship.
