RECAP: Huet makes 46 saves in 3-0 loss in Portland

Portland, Ore. – Ewan Huet made 46 saves in a 3-0 loss to the Portland Winterhawks on Friday inside the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
After a scoreless first period, the Winterhawks took a 2-0 lead into the third period after goals from Hudson Darby and Josh Davies three minutes apart late in the second. In the third, the Winterhawks went on the power play, and Nate Danielson extended the lead to 3-0.

1-0 Winterhawks at 14:09 – Hudson Darby (7), assisted by Kyle McDonough & Joah Zakreski // Darby got behind the Pats’ defence and tucked the puck past Huet to give the Winterhawaks a 1-0 lead in the latter half of the second period.
2-0 Winterhawks at 17:09 – Josh Davies (32), assisted by Josh Zakreski // Huet tried to poke check the puck away from Davies and it bounced around and eventually off Davies and into the wide-open Pats net to make it 2-0.
Third Period
3-0 Winterhawks at 4:57 – Nate Danielson (20), assisted by James Stefan & Luca Cagnoni (PP) // Danielson got the puck in the left slot and ripped it past the Pat netminder to make it 3-0.
