PREVIEW: Pats Wrap Up Home-and-Home
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats rematch the Swift Current Broncos today at 7:00 p.m., inside the Innovation Plex.

The Pats enter tonight’s game with a 20-28-4-2 record and 46 points which is 10th in the East, and five points out of a playoff spot with 14 games left in the season. The Broncos are 28-19-4-2 with 62 points which is fifth in the East.
The Pats and Broncos rematch from last night’s battle at the Brandt Centre, where Swift Current defeated Regina 7-2 following a five goal second period. The Pats were up 2-1 after one before allowing six unanswered goals in the final 40 minutes of action.
Aaron Krestanowich and Sam Oremba scored for the Pats in the loss. In net, Ewan Huet got the start, allowing four goals on 12 shots before being taken out for Kelton Pyne who allowed three goals on 15 shots. The Pats have now dropped their last two games.
Oremba’s power play goal put him in a tie for first on the Pats roster with nine power play goals. It was also his 19th of the season, and sixth goal in as many games. Krestanowich now has points in back-to-back games (1G-1A).
The Broncos have won their last two games thanks in part to a 22 save performance from Reid Dyck, who grabbed his fourth straight victory. Clarke Caswell led the way with three points (1G-2A) while Luke Mistelbacher scored twice. Brady Birnie (1G-1A), Josh Filmon (1G-1A) and Conor Geekie (1G-1A) also had multi-point games in the win. Jakob Dvorak scored his first WHL goal which made it 3-2 in the second.
The final shots were 27-24 for the Broncos. The Pats went 1-4 on their power play and 4-6 on their penalty kill.
The Broncos are now 6-1-1 over their last eight games. Conor Geekie scored his 100th career WHL goal in his 200th game. Rylan Gould tallied an assist to extend his point-streak to four straight.
